Tai Chi Chuan & Qi Gong Training

Tai Chi Chuan & Qi Gong are two complex bodyworks systems rooted deeply into the Chinese Medicine tradition. They consist in sophisticated combination of movements, breathing, posture and intention to promote health, spirituality as well as improved martial arts and fitness performance.

Currently, Antonio teaches Wu, Sun and Yang Styles.

 

TORBAY TAICHI CHUAN AND QI GONG CLASSES

The sessions are focus in the development of the fundamental principles which are the essential building blocks of the Chinese internal healing and martial arts. The classes are open to beginners and are designed to be approach by any fitness level as well as to be relevant and applicable in most daily life activities including sports and office work.

Antonio is a traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner and holds a BSc degree with honours (UK/Beijing). He also studied Western medicine for four years, and has had a great variety of training in Manual Therapy. Antonio started practicing martial arts at an early age and by his late teens was already a Tai chi and Yoga instructor. He continues to practice chi kung and tai chi to this date with a focus on health and wellbeing.

Antonio offers a unique teaching approach which combines both Western and Eastern bodyworks and therapies to make Tai chi and Chi kung an enjoyable and deep practice, with the aim of providing relevant means to integrate it into daily life.

 

Tai chi Wu Style Class:

This class aims to teach the intrinsic fundamental principles of Tai Chi, Chi Kung and Nei Gong in a clear and understandable way to a general public. We will be covering many of the principles of these arts both from a modern scientific perspective as well as from the classical Taoist energetics approach.

We will be using the Wu style Tai Chi form as a reference framework but the principles are easily extrapolated to the Yang and Sun Style.

This class could be an excellent resource for anybody interested in alternative health and fitness, as well as for yoga, Tai chi and general fitness instructors.

The lessons will focus:

- Wu style Tai chi: First long form section.

- Body alignments for safe and productive static and moving practices.

- Initiation and integration of several Internal Martial Arts components like weight transferring, bending and stretching, tissue lengthening as well as the four major energies of Tai chi and their integration in the form.

- Basic of energy work for rooting and sinking Qi.

- Each class is limited for a maximum of four people to allow plenty of individual attention.

PRICES:

GROUP LESSONS( limited to 4 students per class)

$20 per per session per hour session.

PRIVATE LESSONS

Private Tai chi and Qi Gong lessons are also available. The price for private lessons is $70 per one hour session or $200 for four weekly lessons paid in advanced.
